Simon the Sorcerer 4

Remember, it is many years ago, when we all played excellent adventure called SImon the Sorcerer, and its secnod part? Logical problems, bautiful graphics, (Dont say vga was bad, many game programmers just didnot cared about how it looks. Good graphic can look good, but when isnot good original..) Than cames 3 part, called Simon the Sorcerer 3d, which is lost in time, nobody remember. And now people from Silver Style Entertainment announced, that they are working on next piece. But we have to wait, they didnot announced anything, but that game is under production.

What to say

Today about games? Is there something new in gaming world? Yes, something is every day, but today it is only some new pictures from currently prepared game called The Chronicles of Spellborn. It will be fantasy MMORPG, so we can expect many hours of joy together. and there are pictures:

Continuation of Red Orchestra

Which was mode for unreal tournament, but it will be full game. It should bear name Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, and on it is working Tripwire Interactive (who made original part). As name says, we will fight throught east front, so Russia.. Good news are, that fame is nearly completed and should be released in january.

Some new games

Lets look what games are being prepared now. AS first i will talk about Torino 2006, which should be sport game, about winter olympic games in Torino. I personally hate sport games, but somebody should be happy from this, it should be released in january 2006.

Next piece is datadisk for EVE Online: Exodus. It will be classical datadisk for mmorpg, with new land, items and quests. It should be completed next month, and those who have pre paid EVE online should download it for free.

And as last i left Ashes - Two Worlds Collide, which is fantasy rpg. Made by only two independent people, it can be good or bad, lets wait, it should be completed next winter.

Splinter Cell 4

Hey, you like splinter cell game serie? Than i have some good news for you, now is being developed next part, Splinter Cell 4. It should be in time year after Chaos Theory, but Sam fisher is not well known hero who saved world, because of his acts he is sentenced 20 years in heavy prison, so your first uqest will be how to leave. Game is being produced by Ubisoft, and should be released in spring 2006.

Specnaz: Project Wolf which looked some time like dead project is still being developed. It should be ready and released in beginning of next year.

By ASPYR game True Crime: New yorkr city will be on PCs in January.

Hardware in games

Why new games need new hardware? Why they cant run in full details on machine 2 years old? It is still powerfull, and when was new, best games ran on it, so why new ones cant? It is pretty simple: Manufacturers want to sell their new game. They dont need poor custommers. Rich ones have good comps, poor can game buy after year, when they have enough powerfull machine. And those who have money now, they want new better graphic effects. That is reason.

Sin episodes

Game will be probably good, although team is still learning how to amde game better. They are promising, that every new part will be better than previous. Especial attention were paid to main characters, so they should look great. Music will play only when it will be ok, not all time. Best players are able to play it to end in 5 hours. And at End, developing is nearly completed, and we should hope, that it will be released soon.

Xbox 360

is near and near, so why dont look which games are being prepared for it? It is supposed, that this console should have amazing power, and because of it, also really good graphics. And, which games will be for it? They are:
Call of Duty 2
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland
and many more.

Half-Life 2: Aftermath will be late, probably in first months of next year, instead of December when it should be released.

Jonathan Boakes (prewiously made Dark Fall and Dark Fall II: Lights Out) is working on new adventure. It have name The Lost Crown, and should be released next spring.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl have strange destiny. Although it isnt still released, is said, it will have at least one continuation.

Cheap editions

Why are sometimes games re-released in some special editions, and why those special editions cost much less than previous? It may sound strange, but games dont cost still same price. For example for poor countries, they are released in editions that cost 1/4 of US or UK price. its because, that main investition made to game is developing of it, to make cds and boxes for them is very cheap. (i tihnk, it cost about 1 Euro to make cd, pack it into printed box, and send to shop) So target is to sell game there with less (but still good) profit. And similar situation is with those special editions. They are being released some time after those "normal" and are for poor players, who dont have money for normal original. They probably downloaded game in moment it was released, but now when they can buy it legally for reasonable price, there is good chance they will do it.

Jaws Unleashed

Jaws Unleashed will be name of strange game being now developed by Appaloosa. It was shown to journalists from gamespot, and they given following info: game will be 30 years after first jaws movie, and we will play role of that big all eating shark, instead of good man killing it. Lets wait how it will look in real. Game should be ready in February.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar

Hey, that name is pretty long no? Yes, but it will be probably good game. It should be based (as name told) on Lord of the Rings world, and it will be MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). We will be one of races that serves to good (Can you remember one single game, where you server to darkness?) and should go to all well known places from that world. Shire, Bree, Rivendell, all in amazing graphics. Game will be of course paid monthly, but nobody said how much. All this should be ready next year.

Maelstrom

Codemasters announced that they are producing new strategy from Russian team KDV. KDV is unknown name, but when i say K-D LAB you should remember strategy called Perimeter. Maelstrom will bring us into future, when earth is devastated by eco catastrophe and war between humans and aliens. In that unpromising future is the most wanted resource water, and for it will fight three fractions. (The Remnants, The Ascension, The Aliens) Thjey will have their specific units and abilities. Game should be released in about year from now.

Minimal system requirements for unreal tournament 2007 should be 2,8 Ghz processor, 512Mb ram and Ge force 6xxx.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (continuation of famous Morrowind) should be released in January.

Atari announced they lost 25 milions of $, just last months.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Winter Assault will be released soon, they promised November 10th.

Quake IV

What the hell? i seen yesterday in shop box wiht game called Quake IV, and i looked like madman on it. Why i dont know even that it is being made? How can i missed it? Really strange, and it makes me unhappy, because now i dont have enough money to buy it. But, now, when i read some worda about it, i think, i will wait, until have chance to play it, some friend surely will have it.

New footballs

Announced were two new football games. First is Kick'n'Rush Soccer 2006, which should contain 3d graphics, more than 120 european teams, 2000 players, inteligent camera moves... It wouldnt probably brings new moments for such games, but with some luck, it can be good game. By Xing Interactive, it should be released in february 2006. Second piece should be by Codemasters, and looks much more interesant. It should contain much new modes, and you will look at your football gods from top. It should be released in Q2 2006.

World of Warcraft is expanding

MMORPG World of Warcraft which is now being played by 4,5 milions people will gain new datadisk called The Burning Crusade. It will bring new places, new items, new dungeons. Also maximal level of character will rise. To 70. Blizzard hopes that it will also brings them more players.
